My name is Nuriye Sevgi DIZLEK-YIGITERHAN. I was born in 1979 in Izmir, which is the third biggest city in Turkey. I studied Technical and Architectural Drawing Section at Specialty Industrial Technical School between 1993 and 1996. Then, I was admitted to the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting at Dokuz Eylül University, which has one of the top rank fine arts departments in Turkey, in 1999. While I was still an undergraduate student, I was actively involved in the 1st International Meeting of Students of Graphic Arts Students in 2002, which is one of the most prestigious events in fine arts. I opened my first private exhibition at German Cultural Center in Izmir, in 2003. After four years of theoretical and applied fine arts, I completed my B.A. studies with a dissertation titled, “The Life and Art of George Baselitz” in 2004. Throughout my B.A. studies, I was honored to be a student of the well-known Turkish academicians and artists in the field of fine arts, such as Prof. Dr. Fevzi Saydam, Prof. Dr. Cuma Ocaklı, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Rasim Özgür.
